Great news- by doing such an amazing job in the can-drive over the winter, we've earned a visit from Olympian Nic Fink!!! Nic is an American five-time world champion in breaststroke events. Swimmers and Parents, Swimming can be a demanding sport on the body as every muscle is being used to move through the water. We talk about nutrition and hydration a good bit and another crucial component is sleep. With the use of technology, our teens and pre teens can be up for hours watching vidoes, chatting with friends and scrolling through social media. As the Long Course season gets underway, I'm sure there are many new swim parents (and maybe even some veterans) asking, "Why are there so many meets on the schedule?" It gets even a little more complicated in June when you add in Summer League meets. The results of the 2022-23 GA Swimming Canned Food Drive were announced at the recent LSC House of Delegates meeting in Macon. Your steady and amazing support helped us raise over $1200!!! While this was just a couple cans/dollars short of the first place prize, the fact that both teams raised such a huge amount is being rewarded by Georgia Swimming and BOTH clubs will get a visit from Olympian and World Champion breaststroker Nic Fink!
