Nic Fink Visit Details

Michael Groves

Great news- by doing such an amazing job in the can-drive over the winter, we've earned a visit from Olympian Nic Fink!!!

Nic is an American five-time world champion in breaststroke events. He is a world record holder in the short course 4×100 meter medley relay and 4×50 meter mixed medley relay. He is the American record holder in the short course 50 meter breaststroke, 100 meter breaststroke, and 200 meter breaststroke as well as the American record holder in the long course 50 meter breaststroke. In the 50 meter breaststroke, he won the World Short Course titles in 2021 and 2022 and World Long Course title in 2022. In the 100 meter breaststroke, he is the 2022 World Short Course gold medalist. In the 200 meter breaststroke, he is the 2021 World Short Course gold medalist.

Nic will visit us on Saturday, June 10th, and will be doing an in-water demonstration from 11am-12pm, and giving a talk with a Q&A from 12pm-12:30pm. After the talk, we'll have some pizza for the athletes and Nic will sign some autographs/take pictures.

We will be following this email up with a google sign-up sheet for anyone interested in attending. This event is free for all ASL athletes, and $5 for any parents/siblings attending.  We'll be pre-selecting the Q&A questions to keep things moving along, and will ask for those questions ahead of time, but we will let the athletes ask him their questions directly.

We will provide the pizza, but please bring your own water/drinks. There will be a check in at the door, so please bring cash for any non-ASL registered family with you at that time.
